An Eclipse.
A Whole Community Looking Up.
2 AUGUST 2027 · MUNICIPAL ECLIPSE PROGRAMMES
A morning of guided observation, shared science and family participation. Astronomy Tours S.COOP helps municipalities turn the eclipse into an accessible public experience, with a programme adapted to the venue and expected attendance.
ESSENTIAL — OBSERVE AND DISCOVER TOGETHER
A robotised telescope prepared for solar observation provides live images for a large screen, accompanied by scientific commentary, viewing instructions and eclipse glasses in the agreed quantity. Three family activity modules introduce eclipse science through practical exploration: examples include pinhole projection, Eratosthenes using models and data, and Sun–Earth–Moon, shadow and penumbra. A paper explorer passport, shared observation of maximum eclipse and a closing activity complete the programme.
PREMIUM — A COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE BEFORE AND AFTER
Everything in Essential, expanded to five educational modules. Additional examples include light and temperature measurements and Our Eclipse Footprint, a family record of the experience. Premium also includes a preparation meeting for local educators or activity leaders, a post-event summary and a digital event space with QR activities, a quiz, measurement results and a moderated chronicle of participants’ discoveries.
WE PROVIDE
Scientific design, script, coordination and our contracted team; robotised solar capture and generation of live images; activity stations, materials and glasses within the agreed scope. Programme examples may vary with the venue and organisation while maintaining equivalent objectives and the agreed number of modules.
THE MUNICIPALITY PROVIDES
The venue, permissions, capacity management, access and security; water, toilets and shade. A daylight-visible screen, sound, electricity and audiovisual connections and operation are arranged by the municipality to the agreed technical specification.
PLANNING AND AVAILABILITY
Tell us your municipality, proposed space and expected attendance. We assess the requirements and prepare a tailored technical and commercial proposal. Staffing, materials, schedule and final activities are agreed for your event. Children attend with their families. Direct observation depends on the weather; educational alternatives and any adaptation, postponement or suspension arrangements are agreed in advance. Total or partial visibility depends on the location; the eclipse is partial in Cartagena and the Murcia region.
